Vision Group AG acquires Urbach Optik AG: Urbach Law advises Urbach Optik AG and majority shareholders

<p><span style="background-color: var(--color-main-background) ;">On December 30, 2020, <a href="https://www.urbachoptik.com" target="">Urbach Optik AG</a>, a Swiss-based leading pan-European provider of all brands of contact lenses, announced that Vision Group AG has completed the acquisition of <a href="https://www.urbachoptik.com" target="">Urbach Optik AG</a>. As part of the transaction, which was signed on October 6, 2020, Vision Group AG acquired all outstanding shares from existing shareholders, which include founders <a href="https://blog.tagesanzeiger.ch/berufung/index.php/34124/im-alter-zwischen-50-und-80-ist-das-potenzial-am-groessten/" target="">Jacqueline Urbach</a> and Steven Urbach, as well as other investors.</span><br></p><p><span>Urbach Law acted as transaction and M&amp;A counsel for <a href="https://www.urbachoptik.com" target="">Urbach Optik AG</a> and the majority shareholders. The Urbach Law team was led by partner <a href="https://simon-urbach.onelta.com" target="">Simon Urbach</a> and included associates <a href="https://amelie-hoffmann.onelta.com" target="">Amelie Hoffmann</a> and <a href="https://rezeda-maritz.onelta.com" target="">Rezeda Maritz</a>.</span></p><p><span><a href="https://www.urbachoptik.com" target="">Urbach Optik AG</a> was founded in 2004. It quickly developed into one of the most successful online providers of contact lenses in Europe, including the brands <a href="https://www.discountlens.ch/en" target="">www.discountlens.ch</a>, <a href="https://www.mclinsen.ch" target="">www.mclinsen.ch</a> and <a href="https://www.mrlens.ch" target="">www.mrlens.ch</a>.</span></p><p><span>Since it</span>​<span>s foundation, <a href="https://www.urbachoptik.com" target="">Urbach Optik AG</a> has been shaped by contact lens pioneer <a href="https://blog.tagesanzeiger.ch/berufung/index.php/34124/im-alter-zwischen-50-und-80-ist-das-potenzial-am-groessten/" target="">Jacqueline Urbach</a>, who developed soft and colored contact lenses in the USA in the 1960s.
